While Uzbeks are in the minority
in Kyrgyzstan, they form about 50% of the population in Southern
Kyrgyzstan. Here in the city of Osh, they are in the majority.
Most of the sellers in the bazaar are Uzbek. The lady at the
right sells a cloth unique to the Uzbeks, called "atlas"
cloth.
